What alloys are these from?! 275/55/20's alternative!
Hi all,
Had my Disco 4 for about 12 months and am potentially looking at getting some new tyres, but wanted to know a few things first (Am a complete moron at tyres)
1) Firstly, does anyone know what these alloys are from? I bought the car with them on, and the dealer couldn't tell me either, but they do have LR stamps on them, so I'm led to believe their genuine...
2) I currently have 285/50/R20's on them and they're Cooper Leon LTZ's which I quite like, but I can't seem to find ANYWHERE that sells them in that size, so am considering a change...
Can someone tell me if 275/55/20's would fit at all? Specifically BFG KO2's?
I've seen a company in the US running them on their Disco 4 on 20 inch alloys...photos below:

Ah ok, excellent.
I was only told they were genuine LR when I bought the car, so could well turn out to be a lie...
Next time the wheels are off, I'll have a look.

Thats is a genuine LR style, and I think it was on one version of the D4 (XXV maybe). There are a number of 20" LR alloys that will go onto the D4, and some of the 21"'s (I have these on mine).
255/55x20's are OK, 275/45x20 are OK, not sure about 275/55x20.

Hey Al,
Ok, cheers for that.
Are you not sure about the 275/55 because they might not fit...or?
Having a look on the 4x4 tyre calculator website, my current wheels/tyres have a total diameter of 793mm and the 275/55's have a total diameter of 810.5mm.
My tyres rub only a little bit when on full lock - Would the rubbing be more considerable with the slightly larger tyres?

They will fit, even 285/50/20 will fit most D4's and if they don't they only need steering stops fitted to the rack, to stop rubbing on full lock.

Evoque wheels don't fit a D3/D4.I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

Thought Evoque rims had a different PCD to Discos and RR Sports so I don’t think they are Evoque wheels. Must type faster as ronp beat me too it 2003 BMW M5- 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

You could buy yourself a set of genuine LR Landmark Alloys here;
Your spare wont though if replacing that, had a job fitting the 255 55 20 in space
