Hi all,
Recently purchased my new discovery 4, had a discovery 3 manual previously.
Wondering if there’s anyone with a long term review from an alive tune on a discovery 4, 6 speed?
Performance, response, mpg gain if driven sensibly etc..
Thinking of getting it booked in soon after reading previous threads (although some are years back).
Any reviews/advice would be appreciated.

Cant comment on 6 speed as mine has 8 gears but I got mine done at Alive HQ last month.
way smoother acceleration and throttle response, no more hesitation pulling away
pulls cleanly all the way up the rev range
very very quick (particularly in sports mode)
unfortunately since then all my journeys have been short around local area so I cant comment accurately on MPG unfortunately 2011 D4 XS 305 MY12 - gone but not forgotten

Sorry, can't comment on Alive Tuning, but I have the Bell Auto Services (BAS) ECU remap on our MY12 D4 TDV6 (2.7L / 6 speed auto). Plenty of power and torque available. It's the wife's car and with her running around the kids, through town etc. she seems to average 10 - 11L/100km which we are very happy with. It's been in for around a year and a half and had an EGR delete for the past 6 months too. Mine - MY09 L319 D3 HSE Lion 2.7 TDV6 and modified MY03 LT L318 Discovery 2a HSE Td5 15P
Hers - MY12 L319 D4 Lion 2.7L TDV6
Dads - MY12 L319 D4 Lion 2.7L TDV6

I’ve had an evolution remap on my disco for over two years and it’s still perfect. I went for a conservative 300/700 stage 1 remap and the car is still faultless. It removed the hesitation the disco seemed to have from stand still, and the extra torque is noticeably improved.

Hi - IIRC, you're in Tassie... how did you get the tune installed? Wondering if you sent him your ECU or installed via IIDTool or similar.
Thanks,
Rob

Did you end up getting the Disco mapped?
There is a decent spot in Lincolnshire that specialises in LR remapping. They do it all in-house whilst you wait too.
