thanks for the input wiggs but will that affect the insurance, if its not then i will do what you suggest do you know how to find out if mine has tilt/back up battery on

On my demand, after checking the electrical scheme my LR dealer found a way to redirect both alarms to the horn. It took them approx. one hour of work ...

Sounder part number YWK500040 is listed as non-tilt sensor sounder with battery backup
YWK500050 is listed as battery backup sounder with tilt sensor.....
I have to say, the battery backup is obviously useless as it does not sound the alarm when the battery is disconnected or the plug is removed which is surely the point of the battery backup?

Ahhh.... Its French thats why its so quiet - its easily embarrassed and shies away from enemy (the scrott knicking your D3).
