Have you tried re-synching the fobs to the car just in case?

Hopefully not a wild goose chase but I remember well testing the emergency lock every now and again and the alarm going off. Then had to get the key in the socket & turn ASAP to keep SWMBO happy. Laughing

The alarm box? In the spare room/man cave. Thumbs Up By alarm I mean horn as I'd removed the squawk box and it then defaults to the horn. Re fuse no idea. It's now in a bag of mixed fuses pulled from the car when she died. Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry

This is what I took out, now sold in the Great Dark Parts Sell Off. Thumbs Up

PS I was going to say lock the car with the driver's window open, leave it a few mins and put your arm in and see if the alarm goes off but I'm not sure if the IR sensors would be activated with just pressing the lock button on the dash. Confused Confused

That Volvo is just a siren/battery.

The alarm works fine with it disconnected

Yep, reverts to the horn and peeps can actually hear it. Thumbs Up

No idea where the actual alarm "brain" is, I don't think I got that far stripping her down.

Do I just need to pull the alarm fuse for it to default to the horn?

Do I need to remove the six battery and then the box to access it?
