Air Suspension Tank Replacement

Looking for some advice on this, I removed the tank without much fuss only I noticed there was little to no slack on the air line into the tank so removing the Tank boss with the Voss connector was very tight.
The new tank is in situ but connecting the air line is proving a sod, this is because the 12mm connector on the air line does not rotate and if I screw the boss into the tank followed by the 12mm connector the air pipe twists, if I screw the 12mm connector into the boss and screw that into the tank it unscrews the 12mm voss connector.

I am thinking when the last tank was fitted the air pipe was cut and shortened and a new 12mm voss connector added but the only way I can think to screw in the tank boss with air line is to cut pipe on the chassis and fit the new tank and connectors then use a push fit to connect cut the pipe

any suggestions would be welcome
thanks
Glenn

I have my answer now, it's Part Number 6MM,Air Tube Connector RQC000030 LR044836, there should have been one with the tank, it is a Land Rover tank but just had plastic insert in the boss and no connector to refit, never done this before so was expecting to reuse the existing connector

Glad to hear you sorted it. Perseverance is key a lot of the time. Very Happy
I replaced my rotten tank with a used one for £60 from a D4. I know it's not normally advised, but it was from an ebay shop with good reviews, and marked as a grade 1 unit, so took the chance. I rubbed down any surface rust, and sprayed it with stone chip paint.
I used the connector from my old tank, even though I bought a new compression part of the Voss connector from Maltings. I just lubed the pipe and collet to make sure it would turn freely, and luckily it hasn't leaked, and the suspension works lovely now.

Skunk38 thanks for the reply, I have ordered from advancedfluidsolutions.co.uk for the tank
1/ 6mm x M10x1 Metric Thread 80 BAR HP Brass Push Fit Straight Stud Fitting, 80 bar rating comes as standard on this item.

because the air pipe has been cut in the past and it is too short to put a new voss on, so I have ordered some new air pipe
2/ 6mm O.D x 4mm I.D Metric Nylon PA12 Tube Black Flexible Tubing (BS5409 & DIN 73378) 350 psi this pipe is recommended in situations where there can be moisture present

3/ 6mm HP Brass Push Fit Straight In-Line Fitting High Pressure Connector

I have cut off the existing pipe with the Voss connector and managed to recover the silver shroud over the pipe I assume this protects the air pipe from contact wear and damage and I will reuse that.

just waiting for delivery now!
