Air Suspension?

Evening all,

Is there a way to by pass the air compressor?
And fill in air bags at petrol stations (like inflating Tyres?)
Have searched on here, haven't found.

Thanks.
Ant.

Australia

Not really practical on a day to day basis but these EAS emergency inflation kits work well.

Hey Ant, I’m also in Nairobi.

I’ve been looking into how to do this in case of emergency and found his website. http://www.airsuspension.co.za/index.php/e...r-recovery
I’ve ordered my own bits and pieces to make a kit. Think it came to £20.

Brucey,

Tried to access the link you sent. But getting error message...the owner of this website has banned your IP address (What have I done now?)

My compressor runs for about 40 seconds. Then shuts down, amber suspension light, then special programs off.
Removed the compressor...one of the lines has a hole...could the cause be this simple?

The bits and pieces you have ordered for, what do they look like?

Thanks.

Antony

Not sure the link doesn’t work, works for me.

I’d say a hole in an air line will cause problems. The system runs at around 200psi!

Lots of grey dust in the air dryer. Cleaned, baked, tried to seal holes in airpipe...
Still same error...Compressor runs for like 40 seconds, goes off, & system fault.
Removed suspension relay, looped wire, compressor runs continuously...
Is that a good sign?

Collection of odds bits and pieces is growing...screw drivers, spanners, hack saw, lighter... Smile
