air supply take off
Hi there, not sure if this has been discussed before but i'am wondering if its possible to take an air supply off the D3's suspension? maybe for tyre inflation. Work with pneumatics so smc fitting etc. would not be a problem.
J ust had 1st service done for £260 at Rossleigh Newcastle.
Many thanks

Sounds like one of those moments brewing when you are waiting for Landrover Assistance (been there?) and one of those really precious moments when Landrover Service ask you for money because you have invalidated the warranty.

This has been discussed before. The simple answer is, no. The design of the air system, or rather the way that the air is produced, is dissimilar to, for instance, VW - which does have this facility.
What about a secondary filling point? Is that possible?
i.e in inlet valve so that, should the vehicle compressor fail, the air tank and thus suspension may be filled manually by attaching another compressor???Have a nice day!

I had the same idea, contacted LR for it, and the answer was: Not possible.
had something to do with valves and not using traditional way of controling the air pressure. In a time of chimpanzees, I was a penguin.
