Air Filters and other Fuel Consumption tips

I have to change my Air Filter and am looking for any help with Replacement ?
Do I go for Standard LR or KNN or other make to improve Fuel consumption and any other tips to get more miles etc Confused

I put a KN in last month.

Slight increase in mpg and a little better throttle response at the top of the range.

Main benefit is that it never needs replacing.

Would recommend if your keeping your D3 for a while.

Thanks bigdave, but has anyone else out there got any experiences of Filters & types & Fuel consumption and general tips on improving what appears to be my average 26/27 mpg and that is driving very quietly ?
