LR deem it fit to only change them at 45k!!! Got a load from TLO at £14 ISTR, change mine at 15k & after Tunisia trip (if I remember

for 15quid, might as well get genuine LR one - although I've got an ITG, which doesnt need changing at all.

i have a K&N and it hasnt made any difference other than the trademark whistle when you accelerate..
i would just stick to the LR filter.Duncan
