Air conditioning occasionally not working |
|
Started around 2 months ago warm day circa 22 degrees worked fine on a 1 hour journey then 15 mins later didnt work on 10 minute drive and not on a 1 hour return journey, next day it worked fine..
Had it regassed and it was only marginally low. failed once more a couple of weeks ago but since then fine.
About two weeks ago I was out side the car just after starting and it sounded like the compressor clutch was struggling to engage clicking multiple times, fast forward to yesterday, 23 degrees worked fine on short 10 minute journey then failed on 2 further 10 minute journies, then this morning it's fine again
I can't see any related faults there's B1A85-96 Ambient light sensor circuit component failure but it's had that for years
I'm guessing it's the compressor but any other ideas? thanks Mark

If it gets beyond your capabilities then I highly recommend this guy from Solihull. He is mobile too..

Good luck and keep us updated. Aircon always a nagging worrying as to 'when?' in my mind... Jim
