Air con issues

Hi, just spent 3 hrs blanking the rear air con by fitting the standard air con pipe under the bonnet then went to regas it and it starts to fill then the psi gauge starts dropping down to zero! Where would be the next place to start looking ? I was fairly confident that blanking the rear would work because the pipes to the rear don’t look great. No such luck! Thanks Carl

Thanks for reply. How much are they and how difficult to fit? Didn’t enjoy doing the pipe today, lost a bit of skin off both hands 😆

I’d get a pattern part

Front slam panel needs to be unbolted. I think

Plenty of posts on here about it

Air Con Now Suspension Warning

Don't know if just bad luck or i have disturbed something under the bonnet when doing the air con pipes! I have now got suspension normal height only on in amber! I did overall the compressor a couple of years ago and has been fine ever since.

How long did you vacuum the system for?

😫 I haven’t got a vac pump ! Just tried to regas with a bottle & gauge! Think I need to take to air con specialist? Can anyone recommend someone in Lancashire?

if the system has yellow dye in it (you may have seen some when pipe changing) have a look round the air con pipes etc. for traces of yellow. (use a white tissue to be sure if you think u find some).
If you have a UV torch use it

Otherwise get an air con SPECIALIST to sort it. It will be cheaper in the long run

The system will be full of moisture from when you had tge system apart as soon as liquid gas finds the moisture ice crystals will form and block the system

Thanks for the replies. I did see some green dye/liquid when changing pipes? I’ll take it to a specialist! It’s makes all the jobs sound so easy when you read them on the forum 😆
