ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS)
When cornering using dipped beam, the Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS) adjusts the headlight beams to provide improved illumination in the direction of travel.
AFS is deactivated when:
Reverse (R) gear is selected.
The vehicle is stationary.
The Daytime Running Lights (DRL) are switched on.
If a system fault is detected, the headlights attempt to move to the central position, and remain stationary. The AFS warning lamp illuminates to indicate that a fault is present. See ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) (AMBER).

It’s available on xenons as an extra.
You’d know if you had them as the lights would turn slightly to the side when you turn the steering wheel in either direction. Also, if you open the hood there will be stickers on the top of the light modules with the text “xenon ... EU .. AFS” or something similar.
My HSE has them but I’m not sure if all HSEs would, I always thought they were an optional extra.
