At the moment I'm on G/Y MTR's. which are getting to the point of needing replacement.
We're looking to be going away for Christmas and I've read that I need "winter" tyres fitted !!!
I really don't want to have to buy a second set of wheels and tyres for what is only a weeks holiday.
I was thinking of a set of Duratrack's. But would they keep the police happy if I get stopped ???
Thanks Phil. 2008 G4 D3 vehicle No 11. UK selections.

Where are you going?

In my view a second set of wheels & tyres for Winter is the answer.
For those with TPM this is a hassle though.

I have duratracs fitted, they have performed brilliantly in the ice and snow in Austria for the last 4 ski trips, and as they are 3peak/ snowflake marked as full winter tyres I doubt the police will have an issue.
It's the main reason I run duratracs - it's pretty much a "do everything" tyre! I didn't want a second set of wheels/tyres to store either.

From Goodyear EU website:
Tough grip in deep mud and snow
Take on challenging terrain thanks to TractiveGroove Technology, which delivers enhanced traction on mud and snow. The Wrangler DuraTrac is designated with the Mountain Snowflake symbol for winter use. The tyre is studdable for increased traction in harsh conditions.

I have separate wheels and tyres Phil. I have the standard 19" wheels for the winter rubber. Just changed back yesterday to my 17"s now the temperature has improved. Imo the car looks better on the 17"s showing more rubber, BF Goodrich 245/70 R 17.
