So is it only the jets/nozzles that are heated - or is there trace heating along the water supply hose?

Let the pipes freeze but defrost the nozzles. And the logic is...?

I guess you're supposed to make sure the washer mix is strong enough for winter temperatures, and heating the nozzles defrosts any surface ice thats on them, that would normally prevent the fluid from getting past.

Many years ago SAAB had a system that sent the washer fluid thro a water jacket on the heater supply- I wonder why it didn't catch on ?

Warm enough today to tempt me outside to replace my nozzles. Only the driver's side had died but replaced them both with the revised D4 part. The surviving D3 one and the new D4 version showed as 29 to 30 Ohms so I guess the heat output would be about the same, albeit in a slightly different place.

Thanks to TLO for the parts; must get around to fitting the 'foam sock' soon to be completely ready for the next winter onslaught!
