Additional Switches
Anyone looking for inspiration where to fit additional switches for rack lights etc... here's one more idea. Sure there are 1000's off them.
Switches are from RS and rated at 5 amps which is fine as long as lights are being fed via a relay.
I fiited the relays for the roof lights in the back NS locker and ran the cables for the lights up the back of the vehicle with a connector as recommended by TFC allowing the rack to easily removed.
The supply for the lights was picked up from the 40a unswitched supply already in the locker which is intended for the white trailer socket. This meant only a small control cable for the relay needed to be run from the switch.
Also pic of ipod kit fitted on drivers lhs, well out of sight. Both mods are easilly sorted when selling car by replacing 2 cheap panels.
Hope of interest to someone!

That looks pretty neat. How much room is there behind the small panel where you've fitted the switches?

You could try with the other light switches. This is what is behind the passenger side:

By coincidence, I just completed the installation of my light switches in a different location, see this topic. 2006 Zermatt Silver TDV6 'SE' Auto, Mantec sump guard, Frontrunner roofrack, Lightforce 140s, split charge system and... a Jetboil.

Yours looks pretty cool too! I'd be to lazy to thread the wires up there!
Bill, was pretty tight, had to cut away some platic from behind the panel that held the clips in.The panel is now held in with a dob of mastic. Can do some pic's if your tempted! Have a look at Beakers, also very neat.
I did look at putting the push buttoms on the same panel as the current light switches but it did not look right for some reason, but would have been easier as there is far more room behind that panel. See CarverD3's pic.
The options are limitless!
