Hi All,
How do you know when to top up the ad blue?
Manual says it’s in the menu that is accessed via steering wheel controls, but I can’t find it on the menu.
Any help greatly appreciated

Yes, that’s why I’m asking.
Come from a Discovery Sport to a D4.
On the discovery sport could easily see where it was and when a top up was needed, it also told you.
On the D4 I can’t see it in the menu.

It’s under the service menu which is only available when the ignition is on but the engine off. It’ll also give you a warning message when the Adblue is getting low ie around <1,000 miles or something like that.
Hope this helps.

It will also give you an indication of when it will run out.
If you intend to top up your self, much less expensive than letting the dealer do it, read up first, as you must not over fill.
I top mine up every 12k miles or thereabouts.

The Adblue status is provided in the service items (bottom option) on the list of options when you press the ‘ok’ button on the steering wheel. Select this then select Diesel exhaust fluid on the list. All above from memory, but hopefully description is accurate enough for you to find it.
You don’t say what year your car is , but Adblue came in second half of 2015.
It will tell you how many miles to refill. My refills last between services , but I don’t do more than about 8000 miles. When full the mileage on mine shows about 16,000 or 17,000 miles from memory. It goes down at a rate just a bit more than 1:1 with miles.
If you are going to refill, be careful it’s easy to overfill or cause an airlock, so have a read up on method first.
Cheers Gary
