Adaptive Xenons - sidelight issue
Hi
I purchased a set of Adaptive Xenons for my 57 plate GS earlier in the year as an upgrade from the halogens. Finally got round to fitting them this weekend.
Now i knew the adaptive feature wouldn't work without a wiring mod (not fussed about sorting that - seems too expensive!) and the cornering lights would only work with the Faultmate change (will possibly sort that when I find someone near).
However, while the main/dipped beam works fine, neither sidelight will come on.
I can't believe both bulbs have blown, so do the sidelights have to be enabled with Faultmate too i.e. is there some link with the cornering lights?
Or am I just being thick? (Quite possible!)
Thanks.

I would check that first ...as the sidelights should work without any tinkering AFAIK 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

As DG says check bulbs first if they are ok i would think its a power issue.
fuses 2 & 4 are for s/lights but dont think that will be the problem i would check the plugs at the back of lights and make sure pins and plugs are nice and clean
geoff

DG and Geoff are both spot on, Mains , Dipped and Side lights require no programming to work between standard and adaptivem which is a change i have personally done, so whatever the problem you have is, it is something else

Well that's a bit embarrassing isn't it. New bulbs purchased, fitted and all is OK
