Adaptive Headlight Query
Greetings - I have a Feb 2012 Discovery 4 HSE and would like to add the Static Cornering and Adaptive headlight functionality to it. It seems as though the headlight clusters have all the necessary lenses, so my question is - is it possible to add this upgrade and if so what parts do I need ?

Shouldn't that be standard on a HSE?2012 D4 SDV6 HSE - Heavy Duty, Alpine Roof, Sidesteps, modded LR RAI, Stebel Nautilus, Trailer hitch cargo carrier - Best Car I've ever owned
2013 Mercedes GL500 - Iridium Silver - The Missus' car <- new A/C right after purchase, new motor mounts after 40k km. No problems with the Disco whatsoever.

Adaptive lamp
Have you sorted it yet? If not unplug the large connector behind one of the headlamps. The pin numbers looking into the plug should be marked either side of the pins or on the back of the connector in very small notation. If not marked then Pin 1 is on the RH side of the top 3 pins, Pin 4 below on the next lower row. See if you have a wire in Pin 4 and Pin 16. If so then the wiring is there for the lamp from the Central Junction Box. Try fitting a lamp. If that doesn't work it might need a software upgrade. regards garryc2013 D4, E-diff, Vision pack

Garryc - I did (finally) get time to look at the connector and 13 of the 16 pins are wired on the wiring loom end (including 4 & 16), but only 8 are wired in the headlamp connector. It looks like the headlamp connector is an inter-changeable unit - perhaps landrover fit differently wired connectors for the different variants of lighting options.

Search BBS conversion as I have just done this on the thread for my D3 to D4 conversion, corner lights anyway as the AFS requires a full wiring loom from factory or many hours of adding to engine bay, easy to follow on the thread

Thanks Rob - I will read through what you have done in detail and respond with any questions that spring up if I may.

Are you sure that the first owner didn't spec it as an option as I don't recall it being standard?Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948
