Mine did that too. I changed loads of things before I noticed. Just restored my CCF and coded the extras I added but left the AAC off.

I am still hoping it is a simple gate opener somewhere or FW as I can't believe LR spent too much time on the develoment of it (i.e. making it a major revamp of new control modules) for a model they were already getting ready to cease production on and it was available on similar platforms.

To me all the radar is a a little electronic man poking his head up and looking through the grille pressing the cruise - or cruise + button for you. I guess the CMbB is another little man with his foot hovering on the brake and "cancel" button waiting for the first man to tell him when and how hard to press it. Both of those things we do ourselves we just want it done automatically Wink

I am sure there is a system in the car already that senses how hard/quickly you press the brake and then figures it is urgent so boosts the braking efficiency automatically for you. If it can do that it should be able to do the CMbB.

If only we had someone from the design team able to help us on what they did. You know like "Oh yeah, we just changed the flag at memory location ??? on module ??? then went down the pub to laugh about how annoying it would be to folk on those forums." Laughing

I think I posted earlier on the FW differences on a 2015 that had it and mine (2014) that did not. Only a few modules were different/ year specific to 2015 I think and could be upgraded apart from the engine.

I think the 2016 engine is different to the 2014/2015 but can't see how the engine gets involved in the fail to get it working as your foot wouldn't be on the throttle so the "off gas" would come from the first man pressing the cancel button.

Well it works in my head.

I Agree! ACC has been successfully added to the D3 and the later D4`s so cannot see why it can`t work on the earlier D4`s.Still trying to work on that one! I was lucky as mine already had the wiring in place so was fairly straightforward to get it working! Very Happy

I think I'm nearly there - it's taking ages to calibrate now Smile

OK, so my calibration seems to have worked, Forward Alert works and so does the Collision Mitigation. But cruise doesn't work. Something triggers these 3 faults and then FA stops working:

VIN SALLAAAG5FA75******
Model L319 - Discovery 4 2015
Vehicle scanned on 10 Jun 2021 13:47:15
IIDControl 3.0.0 Build 84 Android - IIDTool BT V3.0 B2742

BCM-Body Control

B137F-17 (2F) Steering wheel - Left switch pack - General electrical failure - circuit voltage above threshold
( on 10-06-2021 13:29:39 at 120824 km )

CCM-Cruise Control

U0401-81 (AF) Invalid data received from engine control module/powertrain control module - Bus signal/message failure - invalid serial data received
( on 08-01-2015 17:09:29 at 0 km )

PCM-Engine Diesel 3.0L

U0405-86 (2F) Invalid data received from speed control module - Bus signal/message failure - signal is invalid
( on 10-06-2021 13:29:44 at 120824 km )

As soon as I clear the faults FA starts working again. I'm wondering if my switch pack is bad but the engine and Cruise ECU also don't seem to understand each other. CCF is as per the 2014 MY15 table that RATA1 posted previously...

Any thoughts?

I only installed switch pack while i was checking if all mini harness is there and am seeing this:
B137F-49 (2F) Steering wheel - Left switch pack - System internal failure - internal electronic failure
( on 07-06-2021 16:37:29 at 98579 km )
Hoping this only due to radar not installed and ACC options not enabled in CCF as cruise wrks no issues on this pack.

Good luck with solving your mystery.

The 3 faults you listed were also an issue for another member ( along with a load more) that he solved with a new switch pack. Although the CCM one may be historic based on the date! With the forward alert activated do the distance buttons work as they should or does it throw up a fault?

Everything works until I touch the upper distance button. Then it all stops working. So, without cruise on, the lower distance button extends the FA distance but as soon as I touch the upper distance button it all stops working. And the cruise buttons don't trigger cruise... Apart from that it's all dandy!

Anyhow, I've got a new pack on order, from LR this time.
