ACM switch - anyone trace what it does?

I'm thinking of how feasible it would be to replicate the function the switch has on the ACM, to do away with having to plug in a dummy jack in the rear if I tap into the audio AUX elsewhere (and give more choices in audio connection locations).

Has anyone done this? Can it be replicated with a standard switch?

As always, any help/tips/pics much appreciated! Thumbs Up
