Buy trees Danny ..... its easier than trying to lift off into outer space and in the winter you can chop them down to keep warm...................................eeerrrr...........................thereby creating smoke...............eeeerrrrr.................. thereby adding to the rising tide of environmental hell !!!

oh, it sounded such a good idea !! Big Cry

Ah, but that is good Very Happy Its what they call this new fangled "renewable energy" i.e you grow your own.

Personally, as oil and coal are basically dead trees, then I can't see the difference in burning new trees in the form of wood, or old trees in the form of oil or coal. CO2 is still absorbed and then released by both forms, its just a longer cycle with oil and coal Wink

Careful now.... I may have to use the term..... "Tree Hugger"

Seriously - its not a bad thing - the buying of the trees that is.

I guess I'm a bit Carbon Negative - seeing as how I chopped two down in my front garden a couple of years ago

There is of course another way of looking at this.

How lucky are we that just right now we are on this planet at the time of the internal combustion engine.

100 years ago, it was Horse power in single digits ( with legs ) with a few horseless carriages starting to get dangerous , and in 100 years time, .. whatever ..

Coal will probably last awhile, but will it be economic to dig it out?.

Oil is already getting possessive …

So, in 100 years time there will be a whole different argument.

The planet has survived for a few years without our help, and whatever happens in this millennia , it will get over it.

Glass half full or half empty.. No idea ..
