Sounds like a stupid thing but here is the story: I own a 5 seater Disco III (budget was initially tight for the seven seater and afterwards it was too late to change). For the season's holiday I would like to bring an extra person with us but obviously you can't think of 4 reasonably sized people sitting on the rear bench... One option is to use my other Disco (a 300tdi 7 seats) but for long distances the III is better.
Did anyone try already to set up such a temporary solution ? what kind of safety devices would be suitable ?
Other question, did anyone already used roof rails other than the genuine LR accessories ? Those ones are very broad and would not fit my roofbox.
