Accessing Sat Nav Settings |
|
I’ve been looking through old posts and found a very good one dated Thurs July 5th 2007 from Wiggs regarding accessing the navigation settings from the sat nav screen – the problem that I’m having is that I can’t get the Diag PIN Entry screen to appear. When I press and hold the left button the screen reverts to the sat nav map view. I would be grateful if anyone could advise me on this.
Thanks - Jim

First push the hidden button on the top off the screen for minimum 7 seconds and then push and hold the left button. I have to try it regulary two times before it works. My doughter of nine is better in it. Roel

Thanks Roel - that works ok now, wasn't pressing the secret button long enough.
You don't happen to know off hand how to turn off the dipping door mirror facility when reverse gear is selected.

Yes you do that in the setting menu below the speedo, not on the Nav screen.
But to be honest I really like that feature, you have to adjust them how you like them and then store it with your seat memory button. Roel

EIG, do you want to disable the mirrors cos they dip to much. you may already know this but you can set where each mirror dips to by :
put into revearse
adjust mirrors to desired poisition
press <mem> & <mem nos> on drivers seat.
put back into D/N
if the mirrors loose their positions then you may need a new Driver Seat Module. There is a TSB for this.. Duncan

@EIG, Roel, or anyone who knows the answer
Quote:accessing the navigation settings
Do you mean you have this button without the car connected to a (dealer) diagnosis computer?
I don't have it.
What navigation settings can be set from this/these screens? I'm looking for setting the speeds on various types of roads as it's a bit optimistic on local roads. Does the dealer have to set this or can you DIY?

In the "secret menu" you can't change anything just only watch settings. Roel
