access to winch
I recall reading a post where somebody mentioned a modification (improvement) to the access of the winch winding nut. I think a small extension piece was made up. Does anyone recall this, please?

Has anyone ever come up with an electric winch mechanism that can be operated without having to raise the rear seat? If mounted on the lower tailgate, it'll make it easier for one person to keep tension on the cable AND still be able to wind up the spare, besides not having to move everything out of the rear cargo area to access the mechanism (especially as I'm unlucky enough to have the new eyelet version).

Can you not access the eyelet version with the tool with everything in situ? Allegedly this was one of the reasons for the change but I have yet to try it myself.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948
