ABS LIGHT ON THE DASH
Hi guys, I'am wondering if anyone can shed some light on this situation for me?...
A few days ago a warning light appeared on the dash (ABS) saying check brake pads, I had all the brakes pads replaced and discs checked but the warning light is still appearing, do I have to take it into a dealer to have it hooked up for diagnostics to get it cleared, or is there a way I can do it myself?.
thanks in advance.
Martyn.

The message is sent from either the sensor on the nearside front or offside rear.
The sensor probably hasnt been refitted properly or your old pads were so far gone that the sensor was worn away.
They only cost a fiver or so and are very easy to replace.
The sensor has a small spring that sometimes falls off hence the sensor not seating properly
