Aaaaarrrrgggggghhhhhh - mismatched tyres |
|
Novice error, but when I bought my Disco 4 I only checked tread depth. I today found I have two different sizes of tyres. 3 275/40/r20 and 1 275/45/r20.
I need to get this sorted ASAP. Sods law the mismatch is one of a pretty much barely worn set and the other two are coming up for replacement in anycase.
Sooo.. What size is recommended for the 20 inch rims? Bearing in mind this is likely to get expensive pretty quickly.

I run 255/55 as it fills the arches better, more comfortable and more rim protection.

Not sure.
I've currently got AT on all 4 wheels. Back ones are getting to the stage where I want to replace them soon, Prob with AT3s. I was going to leave the front ones and then replace all four in due course. Now I'm going to have to replace the wrong size one and the two back ones in a few months.
Cost of doing all 4 at once isn't my fav idea but is another option, although I'll also have to get a part worn one for the spare as well... Five. No way!
