AA Breakdown Repair Cover
Hi all,
I renewed my AA breakdown cover yesterday for my sins - £120.00 for 4 of us which I don't think is took bad on a Silver Membership (Whatever that means??!)
The lady spent a lot of time trying to flog me 'AA Breakdown Repair Cover' which basically covers any breakdown of up to £500 inc VAT & Labour for a £35.00 Excess per claim up to 4 times a year. Policy cost is an additional £75.00 or so,
Does anyone have any past experience with this? Is it of any actual use? I have just read the policy documents and it all seems to be good. She said that a high percentage of the claims is for a new battery which straight away would cover my £75 purchase and £35 excess!
How far does £400.00 ex VAT inc Labour go on a disco!
Mine has already had a compressor... Next I imagine will be hand brake module.. would they fork out for that or is it excluded I wonder?!!

The car has to be attended by the AA patrol, and an initial guesstimate from them, for a claim to be entertained.
Have done a few repairs under this policy, never had a rejection yet

I use it and have never had any issues with claims. In the first year I had it they paid for a new compressor and alternator. You can also have four cars on cover for no extra cost. You just need to give them a call and add the reg numbers. As mine has now done 217k I think it's good value D4 2016 Landmark, Waitomo Grey.

D3 2005 HSE, Bonatti Grey, now sold.
Defender 2002 Td5 Commercial, had a hard life but slowly being restored.
I only work so I can afford to repair my Land Rovers!

I've seen the same offer from them and until i heard what you guys have experienced I thought it was too good to be true. Is there a limit on the age of the car? wondering if i could get it for my D1 as well as my D3.....and i wonder if there is an exception for cars that have been off road.
