90,000 service and hesitation advice please

Disco 4 is due it's 90,000 service and I'm planning on going to Guy Salmon to get it done. I'm being quoted £593 for this year and £1206 for next for timing belt biggy. Or £1515 for both paid now. Is this a good price or is it on the steep side? It's my first year of running a disco so rather in the dark.
I've also got the hesitancy that a few on the forum have had issues, think the code is LTB00451, please correct me if I'm wrong. I've mentioned this when booking it in and been told it probably will be chargeable. Extended warranty may not pay as it's not a recall. Have any of you paid for this to be sorted, or is it more like a recall?
Cheers in advance

I'm not sure that there is a patch for 6 speed however you could ask your dealer to re-flash with the latest available software for the engine and gearbox for your model year ... this may assist Smile

Will they try and charge for the software reflash?
Why did they not do an update for the 6gear box?

They may do if you are out of warranty as it tie's up their machine for 50 minutes ..I guess it depends on how well you get on with them as to whether they will do it FOC.

Not sure why there wasn't a TSB for the 6sp but then I don't recall there being as much a fuss made compared to the 8 speed.
