Not sure if its my imagination but it feels like my gearbox is not changing up as i think it should. When under gentle acceleration It feels like its holding back and then lurching slightly into the next gear in the low gears.
If you accelerate hard it changes up smoothly but when driving slowly its not the same .
I really noticed it after driving my friends Q7 which
Was much smoother. Anyone had similar.

I had this on my D3 after battery disconnected for some electrical work. After a while using manual control it has settled down and changes smoothly in D . Is yours is still under warranty , that may be a port of call ?

yes but only infotainment software related
it may have always been like it but it seems more noticeable now (owned now for 5 months ) but even the wife as a passenger and occasional driver commented about it slightily "holding back then surging forward , but after driving the Audi i really noticed it
as i say its not a massive surge but it just dosent feel quite right , with the 8 speed box being a bit change happy in comparion to the 6 speed ( imo) i tend to find that where you would normally just gently squeeze the throttle at lower speed ( in traffic etc ) it hangs a bit so you depress the throttle then it changes down and powers forward meaning you end up braking again to stop in the slow moving que MY05 SE D3 Manual my first LR what a car
