6 & 7th seats Disco 3 Commercial

I have a Disco 3 commercial bought new which I've had for a couple of months now. I have been looking around on the net for someone who does the fold flat seats for the boot as fitted on the 7 seater version as I am considering retro fitting these. I have found some full interiors for sale from crashed vehicles and on e bay but everyone wants to sell you a whole interior seat package and at a high price!! I have also spoken to L/R but of course they do not make this easy for you to stop you doing exactly this.

I would be grateful for any advice, information and help you guys can offer on this??

Thanks

Surely adding extra seats will remove it's commercial status and so incur various extra taxes Confused

I'm sure you could do this fairly easily ...just be mindful of insurance and DoT classification issues Wink

It would remove its classification but I was intending to do it in such a way that it still looked like a coomercial but I could lift the floor and pop a seat up if I needed to. The reason I am thinking about this and looking into it is that having got the commercial for obvious tax reasons I have now discovered that my fiancee is pregnant Very Happy so I am now looking at a few option such as this mod or a different car or just use her car if neccessary.

If it is your own car for your own business and your own tax/VAT then you had better put a few thousand pounds away for when the VAT office calls on you for a visit Shocked

Retro fitting seats will be relatively easy. Adding the seat-belts and associated parafinalia will be much more difficult AND potentially illegal.

Advice would be not to do it, but who the hell am I to say............ Whistle
