4 Wheel Alignment (and castor & camber angle)

Think i may have found my clearence issue with new wheels poss need 4 wheel alignment,(and castor & camber angle) as i seem to remember im sure my old tyres were sligtly worn on inside edge, this would make the top of the wheel closer -also with my old wheels it used to scream around corners but just thought that was the rubber , Also now i seem to have very high rolling resistance
does this sound like prob cause
does anyone know how much this is from dealer or know of any other places around South Yorks ,that i can get this done

Many thanks

I took my to Nottingham Alignment Services ...which is where Stratstones in Nottingham use (at LR premium)!!

I know there is much debate over if the D3 needs to be in 'tight tolerance' mode before it is done. All I know is I took mine in & it is now not wearing tyres any more!!

I dont think NAS have the gear to set it in tight tolerance mode, but my view is that you dont drive it in 'tight tolerance' mode so why should the alignment be set in a different mode to the one you drive in??

I will now prepare myself for the wave of appropriate feedback from the more technical minded members of the forum!!
 Cheers Ian

I've booked her in at Guy Salmon on weds now initiall wanted around £130 but got them to prive match Yeovil at £99inc VAT which i think isnt bad and they said they can do with the 20's on as well

Does anyone know if they will be ok with the stormers and 285/50/20 i know they are slightly larger radius that standard , i Hope they wont say anything in regards to warrenty side what do you guys think or would they not even consider as a paying customer ?????????????

England

Most dealers are a pain in the ass with anything non-standard, but its your car, you can do what you want to it.

With regards warrenty issues, if you make a claim, they need to prove that your "mod" has caused the fault, or is directly related to the fault to get out of covering it (and they will try)

So, as for alignment, its pretty likely they will say that having 20's on as caused your problem, as "this is not standard fit Sir".

Have you still got your original rims, if you have, I'd drop them back on, and deny saying anything about running 20's, but thats me just being very cynical about dealer service.

LR said they will be fine with the 20's ???? yes i still have my 17's but was told that if i have it tracked (camber caster) with 17's and then put the 20's back on it could through it back out.
is this correct as i want it to be done specific for the 20's

Has anyone else had theres done with 20"
