4 Wheel Alignment......Why Bother?
Had a 4 wheel alignment done before Christmas as the front tyres were wearing on the insides. Got the car back and noticed the steering wheel was off centre. So I booked it back in again. This time it has come back with the steering wheel off centre the other way and the car pulling heavily to the left.
WTF is going on. I wish I had just left it wearing out the tyres.
Has anyone had anything similar and if so how was it sorted? I know I am going to have to take it back again but how can I make sure that they do it properly. It really is ruining the drive Global Warming.... I'm luvvin it
Yes, had t have ours done early on under warranty, but it was fine when we got it back and the tyre wear was Ok after that too.LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

when we got ours the steering wheel was slightly off after having new rods put on under warranty and supposed 4 wheel alignment by a lr stealer in oxfordshire (mention no names but begins with H).
had them adjust the steering wheel, then took it to Imperial Tyres, Swindon and they did a 4 wheel lazer alignment, everythings fine and has been ever since, that's 70k miles ago!!

just off centre by about 10 degree, no problems really but just annoying when you're driving all day long 8)
had the laser alignment done coz I didnt trust what they'd done, was right as well, had to be re-adjusted by imperial.

I have to pull my steering wheel off centre to stay in a straight line. If I leave go and let it centre it pulls straight to the left. It's just really annoying.Global Warming.... I'm luvvin it

Annoying and not right... they need to fix it FOC mate.
I had my (2 wheel) alignment done at AJS4x4. A simple process of adjusting one side then a short test drive, then another adjust followed by another drive and so on, until the alignment was correct and the steering was centred.
It's perfect now. I realise what you mean when the wheel is off centre when you're driving straight!

Before mine was done correctly it pulled to the left dramaticly and if you went over a wet manhole cover it was worse sounds like you need someone that knows what ther doing to do it
