4 wheel alignment
I have recently had my 4 wheel alignment done at a local dealer. It cost £192 and its still not right. I took it back and was told my worn tyres were causing the problem. So I got my plastic friend out and brought two new ones. I have been told that my problem might be caused by a suspension fault. What do people think I should do, HELP PLEASE this has cost me £500 and its still not right.

It might help the doctors out if you detail what your D3's symptoms are I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?

I took it in because my near side tyre was scrubbing on the outside edge. My offside tyre was scrubbing on the inside. The car drifts to the left even on the flat round. The other thing is it just doesnt corner as well as it did. My tyres were well scrubbed so ive put new ones on. They are the oem goodyear ones.

It doesn't sound like a suspension fault to me, of course I'm no expert. It does sound real similar to the problem I had...and dealer blamed my AT tires, but no way. I put it on a lift for a look, and found the rack & pinion was worn pretty badly. I had a juddery kind of vibration in the wheel in addition to the pulling to the left.I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?

Seems to me a case of 'Cause & Effect'.
Your uneven tyre wear was the 'Effect' ... not the 'Cause' of your problems.
If you believe that garage, you'll forever be forking out for tyres that wear unevenly.I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

Thats what I was thinking, the tyres were not anywhere near the limit feel abit of an idiot now. I also didnt ask for a print out for the wheels before and after the alignment.
