4 birth Avondale land ranger , now bought )
Looking at a this Avondale 4 birth land ranger any info or advice on the make would be great it looks in good condition and I think I can get it for £2,500 it's twin axel -------------------------------------------------
if you cant hold on dont let go , it ill come in handy for something even if you never use it.

Stew we had an Avondale a few years ago and it was a good van. However Avondale went bust a number of years ago so that ma need to be taken into account as some spares may not be available. You should be able to get things or spares for cookers and fridges but may not be able to get things like trim or furnishings.MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Thanks Russell the pics of it look good , and I like the twin axel , it's only 15 miles away so I might go and have a look might be ok for a first van to c what we think -------------------------------------------------

Stew, we have a big 2006 Avondale Argente twin axel and its a great well built caravan. Check for signs of damp with a cheap meter from Maplins, check if the floor inside has any bounce (de-lamination) and check for hair line cracks on the large GRP one piece front and rear panels. We've had no problems with our Avondale but I have some heard horror stories about some, but that could be said for a lot of other makes. Sounds a very good price On a mission to find the perfect Pork Pie. Just Found it (I think)..(Yes I have)

Can you post a picture of it, take a damp meter if you can get hold of one, check around the windows inside and across the roof/wall joint areas at front/back and both sides.From memory they suffered from hairline cracks in the front and back panels and also suffered water ingress where the roof joins the front and rear panel. DSL it means I can put it on a beach down our way for the summer swmbo and the grand kids are all happy. so that means I can go camping with the boys thinking ahead all the time -------------------------------------------------
