Can they be removed? They are stopping my daughters child seat fitting properly whether up or down Mad

Nothing is impossible but you are talking major surgery to the seat to do so.

Best to find a car seat that fits as many do not, whatever car you drive. Glad you are making sure as many just accept a poor fit or don't even check, which is rather alarming.

Is the 3rd row the best place for a child's seat ?..the s/belts there aren't isofix...& in the event of a major shunt I would prefer any children to be in the 2nd row for a variety of reasons..

I agree totally but with a 3yr / Baby / 5yr in the second row I'm only left with the 3rd row for the 8yr old.

I only ever use the 3rd row when unavoidable
