not tried the chains on the car yet but have tried them on a spare wheel in the garage, so looking at the space between wheel and suspension it looks like it might be a bit tight and i thought an extra 3mm would be enough and the price is acceptable for the number of times they would get used

i can get a set of 4 x 30mm for around £180-£200 but for perhaps once maybe twice a year seems a little over the top

The common thought on the spanish forum is that the maximum that you can really fit is 25mm front and 30mm back.

wasn't really looking to take to the max , just enough to allow safe use of chains when required without looking like it's been modded. there are 3, 5, 8, 11mm spacers just not sure about them taking in to account they are not hubcentric and the weight of the D3 Tintenter

looking at the hoffman site they now specify 30mm back and front for the D3 @330 euro'sTintenter
