30,000 mile service and software update. |
|
Thanks to this forum i've just had a whole raft of stuff done at my 30k service. I asked the dealer to check my tail gate struts (confirmed loose treated with Loctite) had the Software updated and a new header coolent tank (mine leaked) plus a fix (software or hardware not certain) to the xy switch this stops the amber warning light at low speed manual gear changes from coming on.
The Quality Manager at the dealer confirmed nearly all issues with D3' where software related and that each patch fixed more issues. As you would expect i suppose.
The other thing i've noticed is an increase in mid range performance... or is this my imagination?? it really seems to pick up a lot better from 2k revs.
Low speed take up also seems improved... could this be the case? or is it because its clean for the first time in 6 months.
My advise is though.... make sure the dealer knows you want these updates applied to your car... i feel that if you do not mention it they will not be done!
On a last note who has done the most miles....

The midrange is indeed boosted, as per the latest Tech Bulletin. I had mine done recently and it is a different car! Fuel consumption is better too.
Most issues you mention are "upon customer complaint" basis, which means don't ask - don't get.

Is there a TSB number for this Gareth - I'll take mine down for a flash. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
