Given three faults in two seperate vehicles, Brian is right to ask about any actions that Ian may or may not be taking.
When the car Ian bought went wrong the first time, I'd have expected the dealer to check the mechanical side of the handbrake system for adjustment, in case that was causing the fault. It does seem that the auto-adjust mechanism is a little unpredictable.
I agree that the software would be a good place to start......

Thanks your input...In view that only had two journey today, and all i did was realease brake (otherwise would not move off) and then drive , before error appeared.
Also do i hold the record of driving three different D3's in one day !

must be an Essex thing !
If you have an auto it should release automatically... although I think you can change this ??

For your info both of these are manual, the Auto I had seemed fine !!
