3.5mm 4 Pole splitter

Hi Guys,

I've fitted a philips DVD player in the car for the kids to watch on two screens in the back. The screen I use for the carputer has the option for taking an AV phono input. However the DVD player uses a 4 pole 3.5mm AV output. I have a lead to that I can use to connnect my monitor to my DVD player, but that means having to unplug one of the rear screens. I really want a splitter that will allow me to split the 3.5mm AV socket into two 3.5mm sockets (just like plugging two headphones into an ipod, but it must be AV not just stereo).

Anyone know where I can get one? I've tried the usual sources without luck.

Thanks

Don't think I've ever seen one of those Stu. What are the inputs to the rear screens? AV or 3.5mm? Either way you could probably cludge something up using one or two 3.5mm to rca leads such as you get with Nokia phones, and an rca 'y' connector?

I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Al,

Not sure if they are any good, but i'll let you know, I've just bought one!

Dom - Into the monitors is phonos and yes I could take a feed from there and do straight phono to phono, but it will mean quite a few cables coming out of the monitor and all around the headrest so if I can do it straight from the DVD player then I'd rather do that.

Thanks for all your help and quick responses, I'll let you know how it goes. If it works then SWMBO won't have to keep being told to go up down etc. with the DVD remote as she can't see the screen!
