Called Lancaster Land Rover in Reading to ask them to price match MJ Fews in Gloucester for £360 but they say they can't do it as the labour cost is too high and for £360, they'll be losing money. Have booked car in with MJ Fews now. Anyone have any feedback about MJ Fews? Lady who answer the phone at the service department seems to be well aware of EPB problem and steering knock. TDV6 SE

I am starting to get a slight knock when the wheels are being turned and it passes the straight line mark - if you have the car parked, wheels straight and then you start to turn the wheel left and right, when it passes centre, sometimes there is a slight knock - is this your knock, or is this different?

Mine's more like a slight judder or knock when steering is more than half lock and when pulling out from junctions. Also happens when turning slightly on bumpy roads. TDV6 SE

Mine's having its second service as I write.

Local dealer A had £459 as a list price. Would do 15% when asked (£390).
Local dealer B (who knows I would have rung LDA first) started at £380 and went to £340 with no courtesy car (cycled home!). And I only phoned them at 9.45 this morning.

LDA is part of a national chain. LDB is an independent LR main-dealer...

Phoned around this morning for prices. Really wanted to go to Yeovil, but it's just too far Sad

Got Lookers down to £400 with or £340 without a car

Tried Harwoods (Coulsdon), but wasn't keen on them as last time my car was there they left the work unfinished with a promise to call and rebook - which never happened Twisted Evil

Now going to Beadles at Sidcup, most expensive to start with, but then price matched to £350 with a car. Pretty good for round here Thumbs Up Disco 5 HSE Lux
