Has anyone ever dismantled the seat back folding mechanism?
My centre rear 2nd row has started to get very difficult. When I pull the lever on top to tip the seat back forward, I have to push the seat forward with quite some force, and it moves with a jerk, as if something is not releasing properly.
The lever moves easily, but you have to make sure you move it the full travel. Once the back is folded, the base lowers as normal when I pull the strap.
It goes back up normally, and locks easily.
It’s getting worse, so I suspect something has come loose or has been strained by someone trying to force it.
Any pointers appreciated before I attack with tools!
