2nd February - for a good cause |
|
Just a reminder of this event which I posted last year. The start is at Land Rover Experience Kyalami (early morning) and you will then be required to make your way to the end by ways of cryptic clues and maps. So - a reliable co-driver/navigator/spouse/gilrfriend/boyfriend is absolutely crucial - but also be aware that this could be a tough test for any relationship. We end at an undisclosed venue for a "bring and braai"
Defenders normaly dominate this event so my goal is to get as many D3's as possible so that we can kick some a rse
This is a social event for the family for a very good cause - The South African Guide Dogs Association so lets see how many D3's we can get to participate with open minds and wallets .
You will need to book - so contact Isla Blaza as soon as possible - contacts below.
If you require more info - feel free to contact me.
Treasure Hunt Guide Dog Association
Date: 03/02/2008 to 03/02/2008
Organizer: Attie Smit
Bookings: Isla Blasa,0861-LROCSA
Experience made their facilities, free of charge, available to us and we will depart from their premises. Although no entry fees will be charged, you will be asked to give a donation at the start and on route you may be required to “pay†for much needed info to reach your destination. Fires will be provided for a bring & braai so you may enjoy your Sunday lunch at the finish. The event requires a great amount of paperwork and therefore you need to book. Bring the family and for a small fee we will supply you with the contact details of a good councillor.

Meet at Land Rover Experience Kyalami, at 09h00, Sunday morning.
Depart from here on an unknown route and destination where braai fires and shade will be provided at lunchtime. So bring along meat/salad/etc as well as drinks for the end - do not stress if you get lost - you can open the "emergency envelope" to find your way. You have to, however, pay for this if you do not return the envelope sealed - in the form of a donation.
Remember to bring cash along for various forfeits on the way.
Where is Baben, Richard, Ironman, "Attacama" etc

Strange thing - I did same course last year , although not as wet - at the point of impact the vehicle basicaly "slid into the offending rock" resulting in that hissing noise.
Well now I have only one tyre left (over and above the spare) after "purchasing" 5 from Heine recently. 3 sidewall damage, 1 with 3 plugged punctures.
Think its time to invest in new rubber, and bid farewell to the Wranglers.
Seems over R3000 was collected yesterday which will be donated to SAGDA.
Thanks guys !!
I will send out accounts to those who did not pitch yesterday
