With an aux battery and the SC80 fitted, I'm hoping that the D3 will never need a jump...........but I could use the Aux battery and an Anderson setup to jump other vehicles ?
Obviously, I'd need a bigger Anderson than the 50A version supplied to jump anything - I've got a huge set of jump leads with 175A (?) Andersons fitted on my Defender, was thinking a getting a similar setup for the Disco.Jim

Got it the wrong way round.
D) when was the last time you needed to jump start another vehicle BTW
Yesterday , my Defender has been sitting on the drive for a couple of weeks, and refused to start - one swift kick from the D3, and normal service was resumed - have now got a 'CTEK' battery conditioner/charger to permanently connect to it..........to keep the battery in top shape !Jim

It's my other 'toy' - doesn't see too much action since the D3 arrived on the scene, and there's a small constant drain on the battery which flattens it over 3 weeks of non-use............rather than spend time trying to find out what is draining it, I went down the CTEK route - excellent bit of kit too, just need to find the time to fit it Jim

Ahhh, lets see what happens to mine then.
Next question - red or yellow top Optima............or a cheap & cheerful halfrauds special for the second battery ?
I'm not going to be using the battery for any hardcore winching, just charging mobiles, and maybe running a small inverter when we're away camping.Jim

There was a shed load of tax & import duty on the group buy I did, but still a great piece of kit.
Import duty always seems to be hit and miss as I've has exactly the same things sent to me before, within weeks of each other, one had import duty, the other didn't. Luck of the draw I think Bodsys Brake Bible

Hi folks, there are better looking power socket and they are cheaper but most cigarette lighter power sockets have a maximum current rating of 10 amps.
The power sockets I use are meant for marine use and are rated at 16 amp

It's not only "cool sounding" but it's a cool place (Tim lives there). The Bearded Dragon
Even SWMBO says it's one of the best investments I've ever made!
Well...SWMBO saw me this morning looking at the Traxide website. Research I told her...what is it ? she asked...so I told her, showed her this quote...
And she said go get one . It probably will be the best investment on the car. Just hope I can get one posted before our mid-August summer holidays start...The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...
