Standard LR part for the crank batt, but for a LHD car. Needless to say when i ordered one (will dig out the part no tomorrow) LR Parts thought I'd made a mistake and sent the wrong bit. Rolling Eyes

Right, the quest for aux batt power to the 12v sockets continues.

Cable from the lower glovebox to the driver's footwell. Trim panel removed to get better access, was easier that's way round.

So the next question. Is this the secret grommet? If so do I need to take any of the dash around the steering wheel off? Reaching this is going to be fun. Don't suppose there is an easier route? Whistle

I see you took the trouble to clean the footwell/mat before facing lying in it for an hour trying to poke wire through. Whistle

You can get to the grommet from the engine bay, roughly where the clutch pedal should be, length of stiff wire & straight through, you may encounter some resistance from the carpet which you should be able to gently pull back

I can't see anything at clutch pedal level, even with the carpet pulled forward. I'm assuming this is reached from under the car??

Here's the now not so secret grommet, from the engine bay side.

Looks at the right place for the above pic. I might push it in using a cane (or something) from the engine bay, relocate that cable then look at feeding cables through it. Then see if SWMBO can get the grommet back in place as she's a bit less ham fisted that me. Whistle

At least that's the plan. Thumbs Up

Del, a bit of wire (not too flexible) works well to make the initial hole

Look at the dust on top of the tape wrapping the wiring loom bit. Whistle Whistle

I think a coat hanger might work to punch holes through, though looking at 3 2.5mm2/30amps pulled through so might need to be three holes with the coat hanger. Will all have to be fed from the inside, not even SWMBO can get her dainty mits to that grommet from the engine bay. Just got to get those pesky loom wires out of the way. Whistle
