Unnecessary quote removed
Hi Will,
Pretty much both of the above.
I would definately investigate your options prior to comitting.
Cheers, Craig

Hmmm.
Ok, pragmatism must win out!
Tyres first, then spacers if clearance (and indeed appearance!) isn't achieved.
26mm spacers are available, and indeed custom ones, although I doubt they'd be able to go much thinner as the spacer studs are gonna need some meat to sit in.
As for the wear on bearings, etc, I guess it is a consideration. However, I'm a very gentle driver both on and off-road. I've had spacers (and big rubber) on my defender for 8 years with no issues...
Have you or your mates had issues with spacers?
Will.

Hi Will,
I don't know anyone that has used spacers, so can't comment.
Cheers, Craig

I’m looking at getting the 275 65 18 bighorns as I’ve seen them at a really good price. I already have lift rods but will I also need spacers too? Any trimming required? Or will lift rods and spacers be enough?

Another D3 owner looking at similar, was thinking 265/65 x 18 AT's, trying to avoid any mods tho so need them to fit, not that I'm adverse to mods, have done plenty over the years just dont want to go down this road on the D3

I went with the 265/65/18 ko Goodrich. I fitted the mudtech lift kit but I'm not sure if this was actually needed.
