Has anyone fitted these yet? Used BFG's for years now on my defenders with excellent results and will be my first choice, would be nice to know if anyone has any experience with them on the D3!

Thumbs Up

BFG's

Yes, had them fitted from brand new by the dealer.

So far have not had a chance to give them a decent workout off-road (only done 3,000Km's), but no rubbing or problems on-road. Had a set on my previous Pajero which had done 85,000Km's and still going when I sold it (not one puncture) - so I'm a bit of a fan also. They are much quieter on the Disco than they were on the Paj.

Compared to the demo vehicle (with standard tyres) that I had for a day, the ride seems softer - but it's not really comparing like with like.

Cheers,
Martin

I have them on mine:

http://www.jwestproductions.com/lr3/

On rear tires fully up inside wheel arch, they apparently rub the plastic bulge in the front of the arch that conceals the AC tubes for the rear HVAC system. Without this lump, I don't think any rubbing at all would occur but it hasn't worn through, only scuffing.

Just put a set on my V8 - comments as follows;

Car is less quick off the mark but this isn't a trainsmash!
No rubbing at full stearing lock but haven't used them off road yet?
Ride is smoother then the AT2's that I had but they were 55 profile not 60 so this isn't a true comparison?
Fuel consumption seems higher but may just be the computer misreading - haven't done enough milage to be sure?
Dry road holding seems fine - can't comment on wet yet?
Spare tyre doesn't fit underneath anymore - heard thet it will fit deflated but haven't tried this yet but planned on fitting a long range tank anyway
Spare is a heavy bast*rd to lift onto the roofrack! - time for a rear swing arm!
Car looks better with a more chunky tyre in my opinion and they can only give much better milage then the wrangler pieces of cr*p!
