Can you please confirm that you paid the whole amount via Debit card
I paid for both D3s by debit card, all bar the £500 initial deposit.

Better hope the dealer hasn't cone into liquidation..... paying by Debit Card provides NO protection as a consumer unlike Credit cards which give you full protection.....
not that I want to get you worried whilst you're sat in Traffic... Bodsys Brake Bible

The cars were there & I had hold of the keys! Credit card was a 2% surcharge, other option was a bankers draft or CHAPS transfer, both higher risk than debit card.
Ah, you mean today! Penny dropped. Hope NoDosh does not get there & bump into liquidator in the car park!

Paid for both of mine by debit card, first one took 20 mins to get it authorised, second one took 20 seconds!
no problems with any liquidators as I had the keys and all the paperwork was signed...
just make sure you transfer money between accounts in good time as it still takes 5 working days even if the accounts are held at the same bank & branch....
Hell of a rush though, signing off £43k with a four digit pin number 8)
As above, I too made sure the paperwork was already in my name before the details were handed over! If you are worried about a dealer going boobs topside, pay the deposit on a credit card and that secures the whole contract under the Consumer Credit Act regs up to the current limit, which sadly is around half the price of your average D3.
Sorry for not posting last night. Got to the dealers at about 5:55 and then drove home via the most circuitous route I could think of while staying in the right county Full tank of diesel, every current TSB and update carried out, full service done and valeted until it squeaked. Particularly nice was the presentation of a rather amusing bottle of chateau posh plonk in a wooden presentation case. Top marks to all the staff Westover in Christchurch, particularly the receptionists for the cheery demeanour and of course to Ben Darch for doing a great deal with utmost professionalism. Oh, and thank you to Dom Harvey for recommending Ben's services.
Got home about 90 minutes later than planned but due to the pleasures of voice dialling on the PTI I was able to reassure Mrs ND of my safety. Promptly turned round again and went to in-laws (forgot we had been due there for dinner) but was forgiven when I took FIL out for a spin.
Everything on the car is tight and as it should be. Had a few "let's gun the pants off this thing" moments and was really surprised at how quick it can be when used in anger, almost as quick as the reduction in average fuel economy; I thought it was a realtime reading it was dropping so fast. Normal service resumed and it has begun to climb again. At 120 miles it's showing 24.3 and rising about .1 every 5 miles, which will obviously plateau soon.
Finally got back to Castle No Cash around 11 only to find I couldn't lie down properly; my ears had moved to tbe back of my head to get away from the grin.
This morning I explored the pleasures of the sound system by playing Guns and Roses Appetite for Destruction at 35 with the sub up full. My ears have now consulted a lawyer and have asked for a divorce on the grounds of unreasonable behaviour. Not as impressed with the sound quality as I thought I might be, but it's early days and I haven't played with the settings enough yet. My last car had a top spec Pioneer head unit (dual Burr-Brown DACs) and I have a half decent Arcam/Project setup at home so I'm sure I'll a) get there in the end or b) blow wads of cash on a custom instal.....
Will sticker the car up over the weekend and post pics by Sunday evening.
dee-dee-dee-dee-threeeee.... I'm lovin' it.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
