I'm ashamed to say that, despite having a degree in Geography (albeit many years ago), I still had to check exactly where Kasakhstan is Embarassed

Looks stunning - will you be driving there or on a tour?

One of the largest countries in the world too - in the top 10 I believe. Shocked

"When you fire that first shot, no matter how right you feel, you have no idea who's going to die! You don't know who's children are going to scream and burn. How many hearts will be broken. How many lives shattered. How much blood will spill, until everybody does what they were always going to have to do from the very beginning: SIT DOWN AND TALK!"

Isn't it a kind of 'surrounded' by warzone's and repressive dictatorships...?

I'm a bit of a wheasle for low flying bullets and carbombs..

Mertola in Portugal , in the Alentejo near the border with Spain..

The castle from up close ;

Okay, I do not have a NIKON , but the landscape provides possibilities for nice pics..
Without beiing shot..

Russia and Kazakhstan are more secure places than some European cities last months. I travelled through Russia few times, and never had any problems. Last my trip - around Bajkal, 2016, 14500 kilometers and 33 days in Russia Smile So don't worry - and only here you can find beautiful nature not touched by civilization.

@VMAtas. Yes, the landscape is stunning, thats true. And the pictures you make are awesome.
But I prefer my 5* hotels, copious food and wine... Not hiking and cooking a snake over
a bonfire....

Also I do not speak the lingo, as I do speak Portugese...

Portugal would amaze you. Just check google maps and streetview. There are
immense - relatively - areas with no population, and untouched too.
