Hi All,
So for clarity, the UK market will not offer a Petrol derivative of the Discovery at this time.
Many thanks,
Pete

I understood petrol hybrids capability is compromised as true off roaders because of lack of torque or some such - as demonstrated with the Lexus RX ..... maybe they've found a way round this now?2016MY Discovery HSE - Black

How many 4x4s are destined to be true off-roaders Most SUVs aren't even 4x4, these days
I believe electric cars produce less torque, but can deliver what they have from 0 rpm, when the car's crawling Went for a job as a human cannonball. Not the right calibre.

So maybe faced with many variants? - hybrid/cross-over/ff 4x4..and so on.... shame if this happens imho - (already got the 'sport'... ) - the "Discovery' was always the ultimate 4x4 (despite its many glitches along the way) .... shame it has to go this way?.....2016MY Discovery HSE - Black

Really? I can think of only a very small number of them. Unless you count properly Mickey Mouse stuff, like the MINI Countryman.2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4
2017 to date: FFRR SDV8
2023 to date: 2 x FL2 as “second” cars 🙄
2021 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200
2022 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200 & sidecar!

Just collected a new wagon. It has an ad blue tank. Frankly I have questions. How do I know whether the tank was filled during prep and pdi? Why does my dealer know nothing about it?

Well .... Firstly ... Your dealer knows nothing about it.?.... You got to be kidding of course...
Secondly the vehicle should not work if the ad blue tank is not adequately full.
Thirdly - LR say ad blue tankful should last 17000 miles .... I think....
Keep us posted - I think your the first forum member to report having ad blue in a Discovery...2016MY Discovery HSE - Black

The concern I have is whether the tank was filled or just a little added. If there's not much in there, I won't know until I get a low level warning.....

No lack of torque on a TESLA P90D. However I would not call it an SUV.D3 HSE Diesel Auto 2005 Zambezi Silver.

You need to run the car allowing it to fully warm up and then leave it for 2 - 3 mins.
Switch the ignition on and use the right hand menu button on the steering wheel to get into the service menu - once in there you can check the oil level and also the Ad-Blue level "UNDERSTEER" ---is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" -is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" ------------is how far you take the fence with you.
