Elephant
No issues with my winter tyres, ladder, roof rack and other bits plus happy with me dragging horse boxes across fields on a weekly basis which they classed as offroad on the paperwork. Its always a bit painful with them as you have to go through all the factory add ons too but break it down into components so you can't say exteria detection pack as its not on their system you have to help them find equivalents like lane change safety system etc
always willing to match the cheapest quote i can find too. MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten
MY12 HSE - Gone
MY16 HSE Luxury - Sold
MY20 D5 HSE - Sold
Current RR L460 PHEV

LV were best for my Se tech, £300 cheaper then LR and A Plan couldnt be bothered to return calls or emails so dont knowwhat their quote would have been.

LV were way off the mark on mine, more than double what Admiral quoted and would not cover for theft or attempted theft till a Tracker was fitted.

My Insurance agent, A Plan, came back with £577 and said that was the best they could do.
I went on line and found several that were cheaper but different aspects of cover cropped up until I got in touch with Churchill and I got the same cover and less excess for £340. 41
Guess who got my Insurance re-newal !!
Churchill of course.
I am not talking off road or up hill and dale just normal fully comp, fire and theft, social and pleasure.

Admiral Multicar covered Discovery and Freelancer 2 for less than LV wanted for the Discovery and lower excess. OK doesn't include off road but got work cars for that if I need to venture off the public highway.

I always get confused about not being covered off road (highway) use as we all do it. Council car park , your own drive, visit to the local village fete ( parking in the field) . Some are public places others are not. Are the insurers saying these places are not covered.

My interpretation of 'Off road' is when using the 4 x 4 vehicle in areas that 'normal' vehicles would not normally have access to.
I know your drive is 'Off Road' but, with your permission, a normal vehicle would have access.
As for Fields, often used for parking at car boot sales, then that would not really be classed as 'Off Road' because at the time it was classed as a car park with public access.
